The Levellers festival is set in the gorgeous and tranquil surroundings of Escot Park in the heart of Devon. It is a family music festival that captures the spirit of festivals of old. No corporate sponsorship. No mainstream media. No Advertising.
Beautiful Days has music across five stages, spectacular site art, a huge children’s area, camping facilities, licensed bars from local company Otter Brewery and carefully selected food and craft stalls.
BEAUTIFUL DAYS 2010 -
The first acts announced for the Levellers festival, Beautiful Days, which takes place in August in Devon are James, Newton Faulkner, The Wailers, Levellers, Fairport Acoustic Convention, Billy Bragg, Bellowhead, New Model Army, Easy Star All-Stars, Show of Hands, African Head Charge, The Slackers, The Alarm, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, The Aggrolites, Krafty Kuts, Citizen Fish, Dervish, Wilko Johnson, John Cooper Clarke, Shooglenifty, John Otway Big Band, The Destroyers, James Yorkston, 3 Daft Monkeys, Uiscedwr, Tankus The Henge and Ian King
Topping the bill on Friday night is the Brit-nominated and multi-platinum selling Newton Faulkner followed by The Wailers who, together with Bob Marley, have sold in excess of 250 million albums worldwide. Headlining on Saturday night are Manchester rock band James, perhaps best known for hits in the 90’s including ‘Sit Down’ and ‘Laid’ the band have been enjoying a renaissance since reforming in 2007. Festival founders Levellers headline the festival on the Sunday night followed by a stunning fireworks display to end the weekend. The Big Top welcomes headline performances from singer-songwriter Billy Bragg, Fairport Acoustic Convention making their first appearance at the festival and acclaimed English folk band Bellowhead.
Other acts announced to play this year so far include US dub reggae collective Easy Star All-Stars, Westcountry favourites Show of Hands, New Model Army - celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, African Head Charge, The Slackers, The Alarm, Ned’s Atomic Dustbin, The Aggrolites, Krafty Kuts, Citizen Fish, Dervish, Wilko Johnson, John Cooper Clarke, Shooglenifty, John Otway Big Band, The Destroyers, James Yorkston, 3 Daft Monkeys, Uiscedwr, Tankus The Henge and Ian King. There are still MANY MORE ACTS to be confirmed across the stages plus DJ’s and comedians in The Little Big Top and a BRAND NEW stage to be announced soon!
NEW FOR 2010! We’re delighted to welcome Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall’s River Cottage Canteen to Beautiful Days. As well as the scrumptious food they’ll be serving in the cafe, the River Cottage team will be running workshops and talks during the weekend. We’ve also added a Healing Area at the festival this year. Embracing the Chinese Year of the Tiger, the festival theme for the Sunday is STRIPES!
The festival, which is now in its eighth year, has live music across five stages plus a huge children’s area in the centre of the festival, walkabout theatre, amazing site art, comedy, food & craft stalls, a village shop and pub-price bars run by Otter Brewery

WEEKEND CAMPING TICKET PRICES HELD FOR 2010! We are holding adult and all children's weekend camping ticket prices for Beautiful Days 2010. Car routing and campervan passes will increase in price slightly and this will go towards improvements we will make to the car parks and the site during the year.
Adult weekend camping tickets for Beautiful Days 2010 are £100, 10 to under 16’s weekend camping tickets are £60, 5 to under 10’s weekend camping tickets are £30 and under 5’s weekend camping tickets are £5. Campervan passes have now SOLD OUT and car routing/parking passes are £15. All tickets are subject to booking fees.
