TIM MINCHIN, AFRO CELT SOUND SYSTEM, THE LOW ANTHEM, KISSY SELL OUT AND MORE FOR BEAUTIFUL DAYS
We are very pleased to announce that multi-talented Australian comedian, composer, songwriter and pianist Tim Minchin will be performing his unique brand of musical comedy at Beautiful Days this year! And there’s more laughs from ‘Scary Dave presents’ on the Saturday and Sunday afternoon in The Little Big Top with Sol Bernstein, Dougie Dunlop, Debra-Jane Appelby, Paddy Lennox, Bentley, Scott Denyer, Rich Allen, Nick Page, Bob Mills, John Warburton, Pierre Hollins, Ola, Sully O'Sullivan, Ben Schofield and Chris Brooker.
The last few acts to be announced for the Main Stage and The Big Top this year are the innovative musical collective Afro Celt Sound System, American folk band The Low Anthem plus Hugh Cornwell, Ben Howard, Skinny Lister, Dan Donnelly, Backbeat Sound System, Dogan & The Deerhunters, Sean Taylor, Caroline Herring, New Groove Formation and The Strange Death of Liberal England. Kissy Sell Out with lighting and visuals by Know1 plus Mr Nice, Maxxi P, Sunfish, DJ Ambiessence vs Bostin Powers, The FOS Brothers, The Beadle, Minor Planet, Fred V & Grafix, Spinna Old Skool, Richmond , MC Jonny G, Agony, Reality, Phantom, Ben & Lex, Lewah and Pharma complete the bill for the evenings in The Little Big Top. The line-up of spoken word and alternative performances on Dirty Davey’s Bandstand and music at The Bimble Inn are still to be announced.
Festival headliners are Big Audio Dynamite who head to Devon in August to headline the Main Stage on the Friday night sharing the bill with gypsy-punks Gogol Bordello. Headlining the Saturday night are Carter USM making their first festival appearance in 14 years and their only UK festival appearance this year! Festival founders Levellers will close the festival on the Sunday night followed by a firework finale. Other acts announced already include Pop Will Eat Itself, Flogging Molly, Stereo MCs, I Am Kloot, The Blockheads, The Mob, Paul Heaton, The Beat, Oysterband, Eddi Reader, Trolley Snatcha, Steve Hillage’s System 7 and many more. The Sunday theme for Beautiful Days 2011 will be 'Spots & Polka Dots' - whatever you dress yourself up in on the Sunday, please make sure you're wearing something spotty or dotty!
Adult Weekend Camping Tickets are £110, 10 to Under 16’s Weekend Camping Ticket £60, 5 to Under 10’s Weekend Camping Ticket £30 and Under 5’s Weekend Camping Ticket £5. Car routing/parking tickets are £15, Campervan tickets have SOLD OUT.
