Five UK shows - Levellers with DREADZONE & RUTS DC

We will be playing five ‘BEAUTIFUL NIGHTS’ with special guests in December 2015. Pre-sale starts Weds am and tickets are on general sale from Friday.

Joining us for these special shows in December are electro-dub pioneers Dreadzone. After rising to fame in the early nineties with hits including Little Britain  the band, featuring founders Greg Dread and original bassmaster Leo Williams,  are still going strong after over 20 years in the game and playing with an energy that many young pretenders find hard to match. They are re-issuing their standout 2001 album 'Sound' this Summer which is perhaps most notable for the first appearance of MC Spee on the opening tune Return of Dread. The current line-up features Greg, Leo, MC Spee and legendary reggae vocalist Earl 16 alongside Chris Compton on guitar and Bazil on technology.

Punk rock band Ruts DC will also support on all five shows. Originally formed in 1980 and one of the best loved bands of the punk rock era, they released two much-acclaimed albums 'The Crack' and 'Grin And Bear It'. The 2 remaining original Ruts members are bassist John 'Segs' Jennings and drummer Dave Ruffy. Segs now handles the lead vocal / frontman duties while Ruffy sings backing vocals as well as holding down the perfect beat with new addition Leigh Heggarty on guitar. The Ruts DC 2015 live show consists of songs representing their many phases including classic versions of Ruts songs Babylons’ Burning,  Staring at the Rude Boys, Jah War and others. A book 'Love in Vain' - the story of The Ruts and Ruts DC - is out now.

Little Trees Skill Centre in The Gambia send a big thank you to The Levellers for their kind donation of four flight cases, a filing cabinet, t-shirts and a laptop. The flight cases and filing cabinet are providing strong and useful storage for students' tools and materials, keeping everything safe from local wildlife! The laptop is being used by teachers for writing exam papers and homework tasks. Students, teachers and other locals were really happy to have a brand new t-shirt. Thank you!

Last acts announced for the main stages - the brilliant psychedelic rock quartet Syd Arthur, the flamboyant Gabby Young & Other Animals, folk husband-and-wife duo Kathryn Roberts & Sean Lakeman, Scottish folk musician Rachel Sermanni, Levellers frontman Mark Chadwick performing new solo album Moment, Barry Ashworth (Dub Pistols) DJ Set, singer-songwriter Tom Hickox, funk and reggae band New Groove Formation and The Jam Tarts Choir plus headlining the Big Top stage on Sunday is the premiere of Canadian multi-instrumentalist Devin Townsend’s new project 'Casualties Of Cool'.
